An Inmarsat-C system must never be powered down or mandatory MSI messages will be lost.

Send a message to the NCS advising arrival in port or request the NCS log your terminal in with the new satellite.

No action is required -- the terminal will automatically log in with the new satellite when the NCS common channel is detected or after power up.
