There may be a wait before we can test you. We test applicants one at a time in the order they register.

Examination Environment

Please be in a quiet, distraction-free environment. Many applicants use a bathroom for this purpose. No one else is allowed in the room during the exam. The team will ask you to show your surroundings before starting.

No more than one monitor may be in front of you during the exam. If you have a multi-monitor setup, please keep only one monitor on and turn off and cover the others using a blanket, shirt, or similar item.

Technical Requirements

• A stable internet connection is required.
• You must use a device with a working microphone and camera. A laptop is preferred.
• Your camera must be moveable so that you can show us a full 360° view of your surroundings before the exam begins.
• In certain cases, we may require a second camera. This can be another phone, laptop, or any Zoom-capable device.
• You will be required to share your screen on Zoom. Examiners will review your desktop and may ask you to close running programs. Please make sure you close anything you don't want the examiners to see before joining the session.
• A link to join the Zoom meeting will be emailed to you after registration.

Be Ready to Pass:

• Please register only if you have studied and feel confident about passing the exam. We are happy to assist you in finding the right study resources. • We suggest taking a few practice exams before the real one. Consecutive passes with scores above 80% on practice exams are a good indicator that you're ready to pass the actual exam. You can find practice exams on HamStudy.
