RRC Field Day

The exam is an IN PERSON exam open to all and will be held at the Reading Radio Club - W3BN station house starting at 8:30 AM on June 22nd at Heritage Park located in Sinking Spring PA. The closest GPS address for this is 992 Clematis Street, Sinking Springs, PA 19608. When using this GPS address, it will put you at the entrance of Heritage Park. Drive through the gates onto the unpaved pathway towards the train station house. You can view this on Google Maps here. Please note the location of the station house is inside the Heritage Park in Sinking Spring.

Please arrive as close to 8:30 AM as possible as the exam will start promptly at 9:00AM.

Bring the following to the exam:

• One government issued photo ID or two forms of Photo ID's as directed on the ARRL webpage
• A few #2 pencils with eraser
• Pen (to sign forms)
• A non-programmable calculator if required, cell phones are not permitted
• An offical copy of your Amateur Radio license (if you have one)
• Check made payable to Reading Radio Club or $15 cash (over 18) and $5 cash (under 18)

You must have an FCC Registration Number (FRN#) from the FCC prior to registering for the exam.

To obtain an FRN# you need to:

1. Create a CORES account with the FCC (if you have not already done so).
2. Sign into your CORES account.
3. Select "Register New FRN" and follow the instructions.

Once your registration for the exam is complete, you will receive an email and one of the Volenteer Exminaineers will contact you to answer any questions.
