W9OU-W5YI Testing Session

Information for the testing session:

1. You will need a photo ID.
2. The testing cost is $14.00 cash or check.
3. We use tablets for the testing session which we have.
4. Sign up for the test session using Hamstudy.org.
5. If you pass the test, the FCC will send a payment request for $35.00.
6. For new licensees, when your new callsign is on the FCC Universal License site, you can start using your license.
7. There is no time limit for taking the test.
8. You will need a login for the FCC License site and a FCc CORES site. The CORES site is used for paymments. ONLY use a COMPUTER to make the FCC payment. If you use a cell phone they take your money but yout do not get a license.

Hints for taking the test:

1. Read the questions carefully and the answers. The details in the question will help identify the correct answer to select.
2. Two of the four answer maybe bogus. Now you have a 50/50 chance of getting the right answer.
3. If three of the answers are correct then the selection is "all of the above"
4. If you are not sure of an answer, skip it and come back later. Maybe some of the other questions will help with the one you skipped.
