Location & Time: Mt. Pleasant North Stake Center at 500 N 300 W 9:00 am for class, 1:00 pm for test session.

Please bring the following: Please bring a laptop or tablet that can access the Internet through a browser. We will provide one if you do not have one. WiFi will be available in the building.

A legal photo ID (driver’s license, passport) OR, when no photo ID is available, two forms of identification must be presented (birth certificate, report card, library card, Social Security card, utility bill, bank statement. Non-photo ID/driver's license, etc.). Students may bring a school ID card, minor's work permit, school report card, library card and/or a written note from a legal guardian. You must supply a valid street address or P.O. Box number.

**Bring a check or money order for $14 payable to Jim Weeks. Cash is also acceptable. **

**Registering for your test (Reistration online is FREE but the test cost $14 paid on arrival): ** 1.If you haven’t already created an account on hamstudy.org, you must do so prior to testing. Follow these instructions if you need to create a new account (it’s free): A. Go to hamstudy.org. B. Click on “Register for FREE” in the upper right corner of the screen. C. Choose to login with your Facebook account, Google account, or enter your email address. D. Read the terms and conditions then click “I Accept” at the bottom of the screen. E. Check your email for a confirmation code. Either enter the code in the Confirm Code box or click on the link that says “Click here to confirm your address”. F. Complete the registration process by putting in your first and last name, call sign (if you have one), then create and verify a password. G. You will be taken back to the main screen. Click on “Find a Session” in the top right corner. H. Click on “Choose” to the right of “Anywhere”, then put in the zip code of the city where you will be testing. Click “Filter”. I. You should see the testing session offered by the Skyline Amateur Radio Club. Click the green button displaying the time for the testing session, then click “Register”. J. Click on “I will be testing for a new license” if you testing for your first license, or click on “I have a license and want to upgrade” if you already have a license and are upgrading to General or Extra. The rest of these instructions will assume that you are testing for a new license. K. Fill in all the information and validate your physical address. L. On the next screen, verify that you have not committed a felony. M. On the next screen, enter your FRN if you know it. If you don’t, click on “No, I don’t have an FRN”. N. The next screen will require you to create an FCC Cores account (if you don’t already have one). When you are complete with this step, you will be issued an FRN number. Go back to the registration page and then select “Yes, I have an FRN number”. O. Finish the registration process and you are done!
