NASA on The Air 2023 Remote Exams

Welcome to the NASA on The Air 2023 Amateur Radio License Exam Registration!

The ONLINE exam session via Zoom starts at 6:00PM CDT. Applicants are tested one at a time and you may be asked to join at scheduled times during the exam session.

The NN4SA Exam Team strives to make your exam be stress free and efficient, in a friendly, positive environment.

Exam fee is $15 for adults and $5 for minors You will recieve a paypal link and zoom information after you register. Please promptly pay the Exam fee after you register.

Plan on about 25 minutes for your exam session. In fact, well prepared applicants can be in and out in 12-15 minutes, but there is no time limit.

You will need the following:

• Stable internet connection
• PC/MAC/Chromebook/Tablet with the Zoom Client installed and Webcam

if you want to use a primary device which is not a Mac or PC/Windows computer, please contact use BEFORE the exam. We may or may not be able to accommodate other devices

• A second device PC/MAC/Chromebook/Tablet/Smartphone with the Zoom client/app installed and webcam
• Photo ID

If applicant is under the age of 13, additional documentation is required. Please download and complete this COPPA Form, and email it to coppa@examtools.org. Please COPY the same email to nn4sa@arrl.net. This is for compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

Note: The FCC requires that you follow up your application to the FCC by logging into CORES and paying a $35 fee within ten days. The VEC will submit your application within 1-2 business days after you successfully pass your exam. This fee only applies to new license, renewals and vanity call sign applications. Upgrades do not require this fee.

• For Minors The ARRL Youth License Grant Program Will reimbursed the $35 after the ARRL VEC receives the completed reimbursement form, which will be submitted with your passing exam, and the new license has been issued by the FCC.
