MIT Radio Exam Team - Online Exam (FREE for students and youngsters)
This is an online ham radio exam session; it will take place via Zoom videoconference, not on MIT's campus.
If you are under 18, or are currently a high school or college student, your exam is FREE! Simply reply to the followup e-mail that you'll receive after registering to let us know which situation applies to you.
NOTE: If you register using a Yahoo! e-mail address, all e-mail we send you is likely to end up in your spam folder because Yahoo! consistently misclassifies it. Since we need to be able to communicate with you reliably by e-mail, we recommend that if you have an e-mail address with a different provider, you use that. If you must use a Yahoo! address, please remember to check your spam folder regularly.
Before registering for this fully-remote exam session, please review our candidate info packet. It should answer most of your questions about taking an amateur radio exam with us.
Please contact ham-exam-signup@mit.edu with any questions about this exam session, or to be added to our waitlist.
Within a day of registering for this fully-remote exam session, you should receive an e-mail from us including payment instructions.
If you need to cancel your registration, please e-mail us as soon as possible so that we can accommodate someone else waiting to take an exam. If you plan to take more than one exam element, we would also appreciate you e-mailing us a heads-up so that we can plan appointment times appropriately.
If you have not paid the exam fee by noon on the day of the exam, we will offer your space to those on our waitlist.
